Strengthening Climate Journalism in Uganda

The Climate Journalism Sessions at the Africa Media and Human Rights Institute are designed to equip journalists, editors, and media practitioners in Uganda with the knowledge and tools needed to report effectively on climate change and environmental issues. Through interactive workshops, expert-led discussions, and practical storytelling exercises, participants gain skills in climate science communication, environmental investigative reporting, data-driven climate coverage, and solutions-focused journalism. These sessions bring together emerging and experienced journalists to deepen their understanding of Uganda’s climate challenges, amplify the voices of affected communities, and produce impactful stories that promote environmental accountability and sustainable development across the country.
